Hello readers/listeners, how about a little “today in history”?
On this date, September 23, 1789, Congress approved the original 12 amendments to the Constitution and submitted them to the states for ratification. The states ratify only 10 of the 12, and those become known as the Bill of Rights.
James Madison was the author of these amendments, and Snakes & Otters paid tribute to Madison way back in Episode 18, “James Madison: Paragon of the Enlightenment”.
